Ambly that is absolutely fabulous thankyou so much for it. I just wonder if he stayed in the US after his return again in 1924 or if he went to Canada...anyhow, bless you for your fine efforts both you and Genealiza.

Genealiza, I cannot tell you anymore info...I believe Mary was from here in the UK, but cannot be sure...they married in Blackburn in 1910. I will endeavour to find out more, so will hopefully get back to you. I know Cornelious was a bit of a dark horse here in the UK, fathering 3 children to another woman before marrying and going to the US. There is a rumour that he may have passed into Canada....are those censuses within your remit?

Thanks for your valuable help it is appreciated
Mark

I don't think this is my Cornelious...many thanks for looking Genealiza. My Cornelious was born in Blackburn, was British and came out in 1924 with wife Mary Elizabeth.

Would SKS help me and look on the censuses for 1930 and onwards if possible for a Cornelious Maher and his Wife Mary Elizabeth Maher living in the New Bedford areas of Massachusetts and give any information held there. I know Cornelious went to New Bedford as this was the address he gave on the ship's register on his outward voyage.I really appreciate anyone's effort.

United States of America / Re: Where Did He Die??

Susan,

You are a God send, many thanks for all the information and new leads for me....Could Richard have died abroad, but the death have been registered at the port which his body came back to...i.e. New York?  Or does this mean he actually died in Syracuse, New York?

Regards
Mark
