Hiya'll,

have seen alot of gorgeous frames that people have used, to frame pictures on here, ranging from plain to very ornate/oval etc...
silly q time..where can i get these?? please, (grovel, grovel) is there somewhere that i can get them, online, or are they copyrighted?

hi

i have been dabbling with elements, that is ok for me to use, my question is when I have repaired/restored, do I 'save as' or just 'save', the reason I ask is when I have saved, I go into properties of picture and it states only 96dpi, and not the 300 it began at, is this normal? do I need to adjust any settings?
sorry if this seems a 'dim' question, I did look in the stickies, but couldnt find anything that related to it...

Armed Forces / 59th regiment of infantry, help please (name added now :)

I was wondering if someone might have some knowledge to assist me in looking for my Gt gt grandad.

he enlisted into the 59th reg of infantry on 20 nov 1860 aged 19yrs 9mths, and was transfered to the Grenadier guards 31 jan 1864

I have looked and looked to find him on the 1861 census, (UK) but no avail, I'm assuming he would've been in training somewhere?

he made Corperal  on 14 april 1869, and married on 20 sept 1869 @ chapel royal tower of london.

he was deemed 'unfit for service' on 10 jan 1871 and discharged

I have him on the 1871 census, in Kirkby Nottmshire (but you wont find him, you have to look for his wife) is mistranscribed,
he dies on the 27th feb 1872 aged 31 yrs

sorry for longwinded 'story' but thought it might help
