Northamptonshire Lookup Requests / Re: Kings Sutton baptism Haynes/ Haines help please
« on: Thursday 25 November 10 18:46 GMT (UK)  »
Hi there,

It looks as if somewhere we might have an ancestor in common.  I have some Haines/Haynes Kings Sutton wills  with Roberts mentioned in them.   The ones I'm related to seem to have gone to Banbury rather than London  and were Quakers.    The nearest Robert Haynes I can find immediately was born 1646 in Kings Sutton and married Elizabeth Tustin and the Elizabeth Betts 1676 Hinton in the Hedges.  Some of his brothers live in Banbury and he is a "kinsman" to my relative Richard Haynes who died in Banbury in 1701.
Let's swap familty trees and see if we can fill in some gaps.   I'll send you a private message with my email address
best wishes Alison

Oxfordshire Lookup Requests / Re: Births in Claydon?
« on: Tuesday 14 September 10 06:14 BST (UK)  »
Hi Salvia this may be a red herring but the LDS  site records the birth of an Alice Checkly 16 Sep 1764 in Kilsby Northants. parents Joseph and Ann.  Kilsby is very near Daventry  and not far from Woodford Halse.

I had a look at the Mollington and Cropredy records (near Claydon) as I was doing my own family research and there are lots of Checkleys being born there around the right time but no Alice unfortunately.

hope  this might just give you another avenue to pursue

all the best
Alison

not a problem at all Sue!

One last question - I see that Thomas Haynes married Elizabeth Tasker there  on 12 Jan 1601  - are there any baptisms for children of Thomas (and Elizabeth) please shortly after 1601.  ?

many thanks

I am indeed!  thank you very much.  I'd looked on the free reg site as they had some Kings sutton marriages, but not that one - I'm assuming it was in Kings Sutton

thank you again ,

Many thanks Sue,  It helps considerably more than a bit!   The children's names, plus a Thomas, reflect exactly "my" John's children, so more and more I think I'm on the right track

best wishes

Warwickshire Lookup Requests / War(e)ing Shipston on Stour lookup please
« on: Sunday 05 September 10 08:32 BST (UK)  »
I'm trying to find Elizabeth Wareing born c. 1710 She married Richard Haynes (a  quaker) in Banbury 1732.

I think she comes from the Shipston on Stour Quaker War(e)ings and would be really grateful if someone could look up her birth for me.    Most likely parents would be Charles Wareing of Shipston on Stour and Mary nee Potter who  married in Sibford Gower  in 1695.  (from Banbury Quaker records)

I have checked , Sibford Gower &  Banbury (& neighbouring parishes) and there is no baptism for her there so I'm hoping she was born in S on St.

many thanks
