Jamesfreid.....very comprehensive list...my cousin,Hazel.did a lot of research re apothecary s ...many Witters were Freemen,as I am; Hazel published a book on the Witters..lots of info on the Glasshouse in it...plus trees of different branches of the family...sadly I lent my copy to someone on the Ancestry website and never got it back.at least two cousins live on the Wirral.....I have had no luck with Silvester...sometimes Silvanus....although I suspect he was born c.1599...the Hand or Hande family look interesting ...probably from north Wales...if my memory is correct the book is The WITTERS AT HOME by HAZEL WARHURST.....

Jamesfreid ...the father of John witter born 1673 is I think John Witter born1631 died 1699 I think he married Katherine Hand b 1635 d 1685 ....but I have not been able to find much about johns father other than he was Silvester Witter born c.1599. Let me know if you want the diary pages....

Jamesfreid....many thanks for your post...I have 7 a4 pages of Henry Prescotts diary which mentions,inter alia,John Witter...I don,t have a scanner but I can go to a local print shop and send copy by e mail...my tree is. John Witter 1673-1744... John Witter 1719-1768...Richard Witter 1753-1820...Richard Witter 1795....Richard Witter m 1850 Catherine Dwerryhouse. Samuel Witter m 1874 Sarah Sugden....Samuel Witter b 1876...John Witter b 1913 d 1983...Regards

Hello...John Jones born c.1868 married Mary born c.1872...they had a son also John Jones born 1903 ...Mary's single name eludes me..
