Thank you everyone for your excellent answers. Now I will endeavour to find a marriage for Bernard Glen(Glynn) and Mary Gorman. Fingers crossed! It's also good to solve the puzzle of what she died from. Well done!

This is part of a death extract for Mary Ridge(m.s.Glen/was Glynn)for 1878. Her parents names are Nardie short for Bernardie Glen(Glynn) and Mary Glen(Glynn) but I can't read the maiden name.
Is it Gorshaw or Earnshaw or something else? Also, what is the cause of death? Hope you can help.

Thank you for the US census info. Did you notice the 1910 one was missing? I found it under the name Mary A Maylan instead of Moylon like the others. The birth year is still 1878 and born in England(although 1940 one says Scotland?) I discovered from child birth/death details that the A stands for Agnes. However, I have searched a lot and still can't find Mary Agnes Ridge b.1878 England with father Joseph Ridge and mother Mary(m.s.Glynn). I can't find the death record for Mary Moylon(Maylan?) in Boston either, considering that she was age 62 on 1940 US census.
On an interesting note, I did find a tree on Ancestry website 'James McNamara family tree' with the same details but I can't access it or contact the owner. It's a bit frustrating because I've got a feeling that it must be connected.

Lastly, sorry for not doing links for the Australia-UK beginner-Boston,USA posts. I don't know how to do that, please tell me and I will action that. Also, I thought that if you posted in the country where the marriages took place i.e. USA & Australia, then there would be a greater chance of someone knowing about it. Thanks for the marriage info. too! :)

Thank you for the info. re: arrival in Australia for Joseph Ridge and Mary Glynn.
Are there also outgoing passenger details from Australia available online?
I believe they left Australia with two children Bridget(Delia) born Aust.1870 and Peter born Aust.1872, probably between 1872-1878. I can only find UK incoming passengers for 1878-1960. What about before? Although the parents are supposedly born in Ireland, a third child Mary A Ridge is meant to be born 1878 in England so I suspect they headed to England but they did eventually end up on  the Scotland 1881 census. ???

Looking for info. on Mary A. Ridge(born 1877/8) who married George E Moylan(b1877 Boston) on 12/8/1899 in Boston,Suffolk,Mass. Mary's parents were Joseph Ridge and Mary Glynn(Glyn/Glen) and George's parents were Michael J Moylan and Hannah(m.s. O'Brien). Mary had a sister Bridget(Delia)Ridge who also married in Boston(m10/5/1903) to Michael M Foley(b1873).
Would like to know where Mary was born(England/Ireland?) and where she died(Boston?). Also any info.on her parents whom I believe came from Ireland. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks.

Australia / RIDGE/GLYNN marriage 22/8/1869 Fremantle,WA
« on: Monday 22 April 13 23:05 BST (UK)  »
Looking for any info. on Joseph Ridge who married Mary/Mariae Glynn on 22/8/1869 in Fremantle.
They had 3 children-Bridget(Delia)Ridge(b15/6/1870)in Fremantle,Peter Ridge (b26/6/1872) in Rottnest Island and Mary Ridge(b1877?)in either England/Ireland.
Joseph's parents were Peter&Mary Ridge(m.s.Welsh) and Mary's parents were Bernard&Mary Glynn

Would like to know when Joseph and Mary arrived and left Australia and where they went. I suspect they were born in Ireland but they both died in Glasgow,Scotland. Joseph in 1892 and Mary in 1878. However, their two daughters married in Boston(1899 & 1903) and I believe their son died age 5(d1877) in Glasgow.(The Glynn surname changed to Glen in Scotland and may have been Glyn or McGlynn previously) Any knowledge of the family would be wonderful. Thanks.

Galway / Peter RIDGE-Probate 1851-Galway

Ireland Landed Estate court files(1850-1885) mentions Peter Ridge doc.no.035,vol.no.017,vol.date range Jul 1852/probate(1851).Alternate event place-Shanvally.

My ancestor PETER RIDGE was a farmer in Ireland so wondering how to access the above document to see if it mentions a son Joseph or wife Mary/Bridget Ridge(m.s.Welsh). Thanks.

Thanks for reply. Sorry for delay but doing a bit more investigating into Glen/Glynn etc. as advised.
First of all, Mary Glen recorded as 1st wife on Statutory Death Record in 1892-informant was the widow Catherine Ridge. On Mary Ridge Statutory Death Record in 1878, it says married to Joseph Ridge and he is the informant and is says widower and present. It also says Mary Ridge's parents names. The only problem is I am struggling with the names. The father looks like Nardie/Hardie ? GLEN and a farmer and the mother is also Mary Glen(m.s Gorshaw?).The mother is deceased.
I have attatched 2 documents with this email, perhaps you might be better at deciphering the surnames.

I also have the marriage certificate for Joseph's 2nd marriage and it definitely says father:Peter Ridge(deceased) and mother:MARY Ridge(m.s.Welsh). The fact that Joseph is listed on the 2nd marr.cert.as widower confirms that he was married before.

As for the child Mary Ridge, I can't find her after the 1891 Scotland census. Checked for marriages for a Mary Ridge and nothing ??? Spotted the 1899 marriage in Boston you mentioned-age 21 and sounds feasible as I've got her born abt.1877(age 4 on 1881 census). Also found another(possible older sister) called Bridget Ridge who is age 28 born 1875 and married Boston 1903. Parents listed as Joseph Ridge and Mary Glynn. Also spotted few entries for a Mary Ridge passenger to U.S., so maybe that's where she went.

As for the 1869 Australia marr.,I'm not sure. The birth year looks good at 1848 but the year 1869 would mean their ages would be 25 and 21 and I don't think Mary's father's name looks like Bernardi. What do you think? Have a look at the certs. :)

I have found about 3 Civil reg.marriages for a Mary Glynn in 1869.Two for Galway area and one for Mayo. NO spouses or parents named :'( Also found  a few Mary Ridge born 1877/1878 Galway!!
I keep coming back to Ireland because two census records say Joseph born IRELAND. Although many Irish did emigrate.

Do you know how to check probate records for PETER RIDGE listed on Family search? Wonder if that would mention a son or wife etc. Two certs. say he is a farmer. I know he's deceased by 1881. Still can't find anything linking Peter to a WELSH surname. ???

Will keep searching. Thanks for tip about Glynn/Glen. My tree is taking me round the globe and it's not the only thing spinning! ;D

Screenshots removed- you may only post a small portion of a certificate for deciphering purposes
