Hi again Peter,
I can't quite believe it but after replying to your message I decided to have a go at the IGI yet again, and yes you've guessed it John Mollard married Martha Chappell at Manchester Cathedral in 1848. The spelling of Chapel is different but It looks as though it's the right one.

Pat

Hi Peter,
Thanks for trying and for the speedy reply.
There must be something I'm missing, so I need to sit back and take stock and then, well you know what they say, if at first...........

Many Thanks,
Pat.

Cheshire Completed Lookup Requests / 1851 Look up Mollard, Heald Green

I'm not at all sure what I've just done, wrote out a message, clicked on preview realised that I'd hit the wrong button and spelt census wrong, clicked to go back and my message was gone. I don't knowif I've sent it or not, so I'll do it again and I'm sorry if it appears twice.
I'm looking for John Mollard b1811 living with wife Martha b1826 and son John b1849. According to John juniors birth certificate they were living in Heald Green, Stockport Etchells.
I'm also trying to find John and Martha's marriage and although I can find a John Mollard married at Manchester Cathedral in 1848 I can't find Martha whose surname was Chapel. I've tried Cheshire and Lancashire bmd's and also the 1837 site. can anyone point me in the right direction.
Many thanks
Pat.

Hi Peter,
It was certainly a very lucky day for me when I found this site

I knew that William had married Ann Joy,although I didn't know about her son,I'm presuming now that she was a widow.

You really are a gem,

Thankyou,
Pat

Hi Peter ,
Thanks very much for trying. I think I should have told you that I found the family under the name of Wollard on the 1861 census but the name is Mollard. I have the marriage certificate of Phoebe, one of their daughters,  and also Sarah another daughter,I haven't yet applied for birth certificates because I'm struggling to find them. I would like to see what you found, just in case I'm wrong.
 Thanks again,
Pat.

Cheshire Completed Lookup Requests / 1841/51 William Carson, Stockport
« on: Monday 15 August 05 08:04 BST (UK)  »
Hi,
Can anyone help me find William Carson born around 1820 and according to  the 1881 census in Burmin, Norfolk. I don't know when he moved to Stockport but his eldest son Henry was born in Stockport in 1839.
William's wife was Ann. I've looked on the 1861 census and been able to find Henry, married by this time and 3 other children, Julius 1842, Ann 1846, William 1849, all born in Stockport and down as sons and daughter living at 60 Lord Street which would have been St Mary's district.
I can't find any mention of William or Ann so assuming a page is missing.
Thanks,
Pat
