Hi,
Many thanks for replying to my post. William was born around 1850-1853, possibly Waterford according to 1911 English census. His family was possibly Presbyterian though he married a Margaret Connolly, a RC, in August 1875 at St. Mary's Clonmel, Tipperary. William was living in Portlaw at the time. Later he moved to Manchester in England and died there in 1919. So far cannot be sure about siblings but if he came originally from Letterkenny in Donegal, then other siblings could be a George, Elizabeth, Hugh, William - all with a father Hugh who was a carpenter which fits the occupation on the marriage certificate of his father, Hugh.
Kind regards,
Chris Hughes
