I think that Charles and Charlotte were reported to the census taker as being born in Illinois because that way they would be native-born, instead of from England. I don't think that my grandfather knew he was born in Newcastle. He also reported that he was born in San Francisco on several of his children's birth certificates.

This is my first request, so I am not sure I am doing this properly. I am searching for birth records for Thomas Little, born 1830 in Carlisle or Arthuret. I am interested in finding the names of his parents and any other information available.
