Although you posted this some time ago; I wanted to let you know I am a descendant of Peter and Harriet ALLEN via their daughter Mary Ann (1805-1845) and her marriage to Richard GARRETT.
I can find no reference to the surnames you've mentioned in my Family Tree research, so have no idea what the connection would be.
Pity I live in Australia as I would love to see the Family Bible you mentioned.
