Lancashire / Anderton Laura or Florence born c1900
« on: Thursday 02 February 17 10:30 GMT (UK)  »
The 1901 census gives a dau Laura, age 1yr bn M/c, of George Henry Anderton & Elizabeth Ann nee Clough. Laura doesn't seem to appear on FBMD, UKBMD or Lancs OPC.

There is a Laura, dau of William Henry & Nellie  Anderton, on the 1901 census F/S aged 6 mths all bn Blackpool. GOV births gives mmn Cornall. This WHA was too young to be the son of GHA.

GHA & EAA had a dau Florence on the 1911 census aged 11yrs. Have her baptism, just the one name. Was Florence and Laura the same person? Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks,
Megran.

Lancashire / Henry Rippett and Sarah
« on: Tuesday 17 May 16 10:57 BST (UK)  »
Rippett query. Henry Rippett married Sarah Caton 1839 at St Mary the Virgin Prestwich both of f/a.
1841 census, if correct couple living in Salford, Henry bc 1816/21 and Sarah bc 1812/16. What happened to Sarah. No children found, no death for Sarah. There are several variations for Rippett.

From 1850 - 1869 Henry and a Sarah Ann Rippett have 8 known children in the Heaton Norris area. On the UKBMD for Cheshire the maiden name for Sarah Ann is BUCK. No marriage found for them. Henry dies 1887 and Sarah Ann 1896.
Any help or pointers gratefully received.
Many thanks for reading this.

Lancashire / Looking for Burials
« on: Tuesday 23 June 15 19:14 BST (UK)  »
Looking for the burial of James Lomas, he married in Nov 1845, (both of full age) dau bn Dec 1845 and bp March 1846. (No status for James.)

FreeBND deaths give two (suitable) entries for a James Lomas 1qtr 1846 M/c Reg Dist 578 & 579
but checking on the entries there is only the 578 entry listed. The 1851 and 1861 census has Jane as a Widow (she remarries in 1860's).

No suitable entry on M/c Burials on line for James. Jane's father was buried Christ Church Harpurhey, not a family grave. Was James buried there? and also Jane md name Neild d 1893.  Any help would be gratefully received.
Many Thanks,
Megran.

Lancashire / Rippett
« on: Saturday 07 February 15 16:17 GMT (UK)  »
Anyone researching Thomas Rippett bc1776/81 Ireland, possibly married Catherine, children seem to be bp Manchester. Thomas on the 1871 census age 92yrs. Some other names seem to be Rosenbaum, Lomas and Neild. New family to search but seem to be going round in circles. May have knocked down part of a long standing brick wall.
Any help or pointers welcome.
Many Thanks,
Megran.
