How lovely! thanks Cuz, Happy New Year,  I confess that I had not thought of that
Brilliant that had made my day!!! 8)

I forgot to mention that OH Cuz is married to a descendant of the Mutiny on the Bounty Rebels,  that my other Cuz married a descendant of Robert Devereux  favourite of Elizabeth 1.

Oh by the way I met the Queen Mother & the King during the war, at Windsor Castle.  very beautiful she was too in those days

Hi, William the Conqueror is my 27 times greatuncle, honestly!.

And he's my 28th ggrandfather. So we would seem to be cousins of a sort. Also to the Queen.

And I've never even seen her :P

 8) China!  My G.Grandfather can trace his lineage back to W-the-C too [what an unfortunate set of initials!] ::)

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D  ;)

Dear LB was familiar with the mature man and procreated (at least once) with a more mature man.  Therefore, based on pattern, she may well be more attracted to mature men as a type.

There is no proof of either child being fathered by her husband, the father could have been anyone.

Hi Jager,

Welcome to Rootschat,  :D

We all have such fun with this sort of thing!

Stick with the genetics Roger, that is more accurate I think!

I wanted a book. It was about the Village which is where my ancestors came from.

Me too.  It was a soft-back, published in 2001.  When I googled it, I found it offered by a second-hand bookshop at £85.00.

I managed to contact the author, who had a few copies left.  He posted it to me the next day, and charged me £6.10 plus 70p p&p.  He was horrified when he heard what the bookshop were charging for it.

A friend of his also took photos of my ancestors' family house and he included that in the package.  And the book was fantastic, lots of old photos and even a couple of mentions of my family!

So glad for you Mrs T,
That is lovely, so tired sorry I have to sleep!

I wanted a book. It was about the Village which is where my ancestors came from.
I was quoted £70.00 + from both the other link and a secondhand bookshop.

Then I was looking for a Christmas present for a pal from the other site.
Low and behold it was only £18.00. It was hardback copy too

I was thrilled to get it.  I promise you it is the right one too!
I had my doubts when I bought it!

Hi Nick,
I wish that I could find a book like that,

The nearest one I have managed is a Diary written by the Vicar of the Village,
which my maternal family originate from.

It makes a passing reference to my great grandfather and his move to anther Area, where he had worked.  That was lucky indeed.

But photos, well that would be brilliant.
