Hi,

They are a bit of a mystery. Alfred Prewett has a connection to my family, but I can't find it.
I found a news clipping, when Alfred Prewett died. The doctor in attendance was Dr De Quadros, husband of Emily Prewett. She was my nan's aunt. Dr De Quadros committed sucide, because he was under suspision for foal play.  But Alfred Prewett died of natural causes.
It mentioned that Alfred Prewett was a cousin of Emily Prewett.

I have found a marriage bann on ancestry 23/07/1844

John Evans
Sophia Prewett
Parish st Marylebone middlesex westminister
Father Thomas prewett

So that is where I am confused, because I think Sophia was a prewett when she had Alfred, and he kept he's name, after she married.
What do you think?

He;s father does say William Prewett. I cannot read he;s occupation. I don't know where he was born or date. Neither he;s mother.

Parish of swindon wilts
2nd wife Eliza Beeson - unknown date
I cannot find william on the 1841 census. Also I would like to find out about he's parents.

Please could someone help me, for the following people:

Alfred Prewett : Born c 1828 Bath,Somerset
Married first wife : Susanana  Emma Melluish 1st May 1863 Father Alfred Prewett upholsterer.
Married 2nd wife ; Sarah Elizabeth Wanstall 27 Feb 1887 Father deceased.

1851 Census :

John Evans Head
Sophia Evans Wife
Alford Powett -son
Sophia Ann Pruett- Nurse

Reg Dist Bath Sub Reg dist Lansdown

I would like to find out if Alfred Prewett is he;s father or Sophia was unmarried, before she married John Evans.
Also Sophia Ann Prewett who her parents are.

Any info would be greatly appreciated, Hope I have posted this correctly as this is my first time.

My grandmother was born 20 Wallis Yard, Buckingham Palace road., 1911. This was a workhouse, part of the St.georges Union.
Her mother was unmarried
