Ancestral Family Tree DNA Testing / Re: Husband and I have mutual DNA Match!
« on: Thursday 07 October 21 08:30 BST (UK)  »
I have 9cM across 1 segment to "FA", Ancestry says "FA" could be your 3rd cousin 2x removed through my gg grandparents Robert Hudman and Mercy Turner
My husband has 10 cM across 1 segment.
The only common shared surnames in ancestry trees between all 3 of us are Bennett, Smith and Williams  AND husband is a Smith!

And there is no indication on Ancestry of a Dna link between myself and my husband.

Ancestral Family Tree DNA Testing / Husband and I have mutual DNA Match!
« on: Wednesday 06 October 21 23:45 BST (UK)  »
I have just realised my husband and I share a mutual DNA match. I can see a link in my and the matches tree at my gggrandparents  Robert and Mercy Turner. But struggling to see where my husband links into her tree. And would my husband and I pop up as matches in each others trees. My eyes and brain hurt so I am going to bed. If anyone has suggestions I would be grateful to hear them.

13 born alive, 6 still living and 7 that have died.
I can only find Births for 11.
Yes, I can see your point reference still births, but thinking about it if a baby dies soon after birth it would technically not be stillborn but is there a chance the parents not registered the birth??
Saying that, 4 of the births/deaths that they did register the child was 3 to 6 months old. The 5th one that was not alive at the 1911 census was their first child born 1874, died 1899 aged 24.

I have checked all the births I have at GRO, and even searched the years 1870 to 1897, 2 years at a time, male and female, and searched all other obvious avenues (About 5 times over the past 15 years)

Has anyone else found a problem with the info they find on a Census. My niggle is the 1911. My great grandparents say they had 13 children on their census return. 6 children alive and 7 dead at the time of the census. My grand mother did say many years ago that she was the youngest of 13. I can only find a total of 11 children.

Over several years I have returned to this and checked periodically. This weekend I have checked on Ancestry, Find my Past, Family search and GRO for any births I may have missed.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Just seen a flashing light, Thanks Rosie99.
Hulme. 1871 census they were with Family,  Mary was Mary Hulme,
I've been stuck in a loop, it was only yesterday evening that I found them on the 1871 census as on Ancestry barker is listed a Batker.
