Wickenden Family 1841 Census
« on: Tuesday 25 October 05 09:59 BST (UK) »
Hello

I am looking for Wickendens in 1841.

John 30,  Mary ?, George 5,  Mary 1.

Mary was born in Southborough in 1839 and registered in Tunbridge.  I know they still lived in Kent as another son was born in 1843/4 in Tunbridge.

In 1851 they had moved to Hastings and John was a railway labourer.

Hi Alysse,

Just a quick thing: there's a marriage of a John Wickenden to a Mary Evans on the 6th Dec 1835 in Tonbridge.  This would tie in with the dates etc.

There are two John Wickendens born in Tonbridge within two years; but as they have the same parents you can assume that the first one died (John Wickenden c. 02/12/1810, Tonbridge, parents; Francis Wickenden and Mary).
Francis Wickenden m. Mary Owen in 1806, Leigh, Kent.

Hope this helps :)
