1841 census - Richards
« on: Thursday 27 October 05 07:19 BST (UK) »
Could I please request a lookup for the census record of Betsy Richards born 1820 and her son Richard Richards born 1840 both born Sneinton according to 1851 census so hopefully in or close to Sneinton in 1841.
Thanks

Thanks Bryant
I'll try for some more 1851 first and then think about where else Betsy could be

I have found one of the family died at Pleasant Row Nottingham in 1843 and I think I have seen Pleasant Row, Radford somewhere before so would this street help to determine where any of the Richards family were in 1841 - as well as Betsy I am looking for her parents Richard  born c 1797, Millicent born c 1798 and other siblings Ann 1828, William 1819, Caroline 1823, Millicent 1825, Francis 1830, Eliza 1832 and Edwin 1835

Thanks

Thanks for this Bryant.  You have been a great help.  Sorry I can't inform you about the chevoner except to say it must be a local term for something.  I put the word into google and the only thing that came up was in a census record for someone else who also lived in Belper, Derbyshire.  I will keep looking though.

Regards

Thank you Heather.  Once again you have come to my rescue.  I was busy going through pages on frame work knitting museums etc and briefly stopped to do some ironing and you have found it for me or did you already know it.  Must go.  My daughter is off to do a singing exam and wants me to go with her and listen in on the rehearsal before it.

Best Wishes
Carmel
