Hi

This is the Dawson family on the 1851 census in Caddy Wood, Errington, Yorkshire.

James, 39, Cotton Spinner, B.Todmorden,Lancs
Mary,36,B.Newchurch,Lancs
Peggy,13,Cotton Spinner,B.Stansfield,Yorks
Sarah,11,Scholar,B.Stansfield
William,9,Scholar,B.Stansfield
Taylor,3,B.Todmorden
Lord,3m,B.Errington,Yorks

Think Taylor's age was shown as 3 but it had a pen mark through it and was unclear.

Hi Shazza

There is a death registered in Todmorden for a James Dawson aged 72 Vol 9A page 974.  you can view the GRO free of charge at freebmd.org.uk or you can send for the death certificate which will cost you approx £7.00.

Do you have any census information at all on this family or do you want us to search for you?

Cheers
Jan :)
