Fitty,
To quote the front page of the Lancashirebmd site:

Commencing with indexes to records relating to the City of Salford, the site now includes also indexes relating to the Boroughs of Oldham, Blackburn and Rochdale together with a number of indexes for those parts of the Borough of Trafford which fall within the historic (pre-1974) county of Lancashire. There are active discussions with the Registrars of other Registration Districts with a view to further extension of the coverage.

So like everything else, work in progress. They will get there in the end.

My understanding is that the current Bolton Registrar of BMD will not give permission for the data to be transcribed, hence its absence from the Lancashire BMD site.
