War records
« on: Saturday 28 August 04 13:21 BST (UK) »
ive' been looking for war history information on my husbands grandad ( Arthur Lund) for some time. I Knew where he lived and he survived the war but i didn't know what regiment he belonged too.

Just been on [http://1914-1918.org/forum/index.php?]
i put in my plea and some nice kind man has told me his number and regiment ( he thinks but got to check).

Also found my great uncles war memorial in Rangoon.

Was getting fed up last week, was really stuck for info till my certificates arrive, over the moon now!

Isn't it amazing what nice people there are out there prepared to help.

My best wishes to all you kind souls.

Whoever said seek and ye shall find was NOT a genealogist.

Pollynation,

That is a very informative site as well as a helpful one.  The links to the regiments etc.  helped me no end.  Make sure you explore the main site as well as the forum.   ;D
