1841 census James BOOTES
« on: Saturday 05 November 05 02:00 GMT (UK) »
Looking for a James Bootes / Boots (b.1791 Newenden) with wife Mary (nee East) and known sons Isaac (1829) and George (1837). If a wife called Hannah is found then I'm puzzled because that James Boots (b.1791 Newenden) is in Rye, SSX in 1851 with different children.

Hi Paul

Found this in 1841 census

HO107/463/8 page 8 Belgrave Road Tunbridge Wells

James Boots 40 Gardener
Mary do 40
Isaac do 10
Jane do 7
George do 5
Ann do 1

All born this county  (looked in Tunbridge because that is where I found Georges Birth on IGI)

I also found the James Boots with Hannah still in Rye Sussex in 1841 so they are two different families.

Kind regards
Sue

Thank you. Can you also let me have details of James and Hannah in 1841 please. I cannot seem to find James and Mary in 1851.

Regards
Paul

I too would say that High Halden is quite a good possibility.  Looks like "Highhold" - most definitely "High........" :-\
