Copyright and 1851 transcription
« on: Saturday 05 November 05 14:00 GMT (UK) »
Hi All,

Just thought I'd post a reminder regarding copying and pasting from the Dumfries and Galloway archive website.

http://www.dumgal.gov.uk/historicalindexes/census.aspx

There seems to be a new link here...

http://www.dgcommunity.net/historicalindexes/default.aspx

This is a fantastic free resource for all to use.  Brought to us by the efforts of the Friends of the Archives of Dumfries and Galloway and others.

The transcript remains their copyright.  To respect this can I ask people do not copy and paste from this resource.  Though free it is still protected by copyright laws.  Transcriptions can be made and posted from the original images if you have access.

Thanks for all the help you all give it is appreciated by many.  Thank you also for your support on this matter.

Regards,
Pam
