Cliffe House, Marske By Sea

I am trying to find census for Cliffe House, it was owned, as a summer residence by the local mine owner, Joseph Pease.
My g grandmother Maria Hanson Harrison worked there in service.  I cannot find any info about this time of her life.  Any info would be great.  Thanks for looking

I should have asked you a bit more about her such as her age and place of birth.  I cannot find her in 1901 though I did find the Pease family at Hutton Hall.  She was not with them there.   Do you know that you can search the 1901 index free at www.census.pro.gov.uk  ?
If you manage to find her let me know and I will have another look.  Or as you live so close perhaps the local library can help.
Hanson Harrison is obviously a long standing combination of names.  There are several who show up on ancestry.co.uk.   It might be worth your trying a free trial with them next time they offer one.
We used to visit Redcar often whenever we were in the north but all the ancient relatives who lived there have died now.

I do have ancestry.co.uk, but i think she will be on the next census 1911, as she was born in 1889 in Wilton, i can find her with her parents but not as working girl.
I know she worked in cliffe house and was also a servant to the bishop of ripon, any help would be great

Can't help with 1911 as it is not out yet!    Will not be available until 2012.    You need to look at electoral rolls, directories and that sort of thing.  They are all held locally so you are in the best position to do the research yourself.    Have you been to Cleveland Archives office in Middlesbrough?   Well worth a visit.
