« on: Tuesday 08 November 05 09:16 GMT (UK) »
Hi
If anyone is able to look up a death of Robert William Stockill around the time of WW1 I would be very greatful. The family lived in Newby Wiske in North Yorks on 1901 census.

Thankyou from Australia

Have you checked on FreeBMD?    If he is not there then try the links at the top of the Yorkshire board which give local BMD entries.   Otherwise it means a paid search on www.1837online.com or familyrelatives.  They have full coverage of all BMD records.   The later the death the harder to find it free on the internet!    The local church records might have a burial entry and you can get the film of the parish records to search at your nearest LDS centre.  They are worldwide.
Good luck.
Andrea
