1901 Dublin Census
« on: Monday 30 August 04 16:01 BST (UK) »

  Hi,
I am trying to trace my grandmother born in Dublin about 1890. Her name was Mary Josephine Clifford, her mother name was  Mary.  I do not know their address. They moved to Liverpool in the second decade of the 20th Century. Their address there was 229 Burlington street. Hope someone can help me as I have hit a brick wall on this one.

Hi,

The birth indexes and entries for Ireland are held in the General registry office here in Dublin but the indexes are also available on microfilm at your local Church of the Latter Day Saints family History Centre from 1864 to 1921 so you could try there. You will have to search for all Mary CLIFFORDs by quarter around the right year registered in Dublin.

If you strike lucky here, you should get an address from the entry and then you can go looking in the Dublin 1901 census.

Good Luck

Kate
