« on: Sunday 20 November 05 03:35 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to find Thomas Ullyatt born approx 1820

He married Emma Pool in Dec 1841 in Sleaford Reg District

1841 Census: Thomas Ullyatt born abt 1820 Sleaford Area
                        Emma Pool born abt 1819

1851 Census: Thomas and Emma Ullyatt

If I can find them I can go back one more generation.
Thanks for any help you can give me

Thank you for your reply

Is there another Joseph Ullyatt with a wife Emma.

I have their daughter Ann aged 7 living with her grandparents William and Ann Pool in Billinghay. Thought the parents would be in the same area. Ann is my great grandmother.

Thanks for your prompt reply

Hello
It was Thomas and not Joseph....must have had a senior/blonde moment. Sorry about that.....

Looks like Thomas had died by that time. Explains why children would be with their grandparents.

Thank you very much

I found Thomas Ullyatt WITH Emma Pool in the 1841  8)

They were in the Hamlet of Walcott, Billinghay in the district of Sleaford Lincolnshire.  I just noticed from the person's reply above that she was born in Billinghay, so 100% sure it is them.

Emma POOLE 20 FS (for occupation) Born in county
Thomas ULLYATT 20 WS (OR MS.. possibly Wool Sorter) - born in county

It may explain how they met as they are in the same property in the 1841 census.  But they are probably working together for the Farmer so they are not with their parents...

Do you have the reference number for the marriage certificate  ;D

I am glad I could help.  And also thank Willow, as because of their 1851 lookup I was able to find them in the 1841  ;D

I do not now have to buy the Marriage certificate as I found the marriage on the Website that listed Sleaford marriages

Thomas's father was Thomas Ulyatt

Emma father was William Pool

Do you still have access to the census and maybe you could locate Thomas Ulyatt and William Pool. I am sure they would be living in the Billinghay area. Bit of a cheek to ask but you can always say No......
Thankyou
