Joseph Ramsdale born Warrington Lancs, Insurance Supervisor, would have been 29 in 1871. Wife Elizabeth same age. Children George Heywood Ramsdale 5, Elizabeth H. 2, Joseph H. 1, and possibly Mary H. They were living in Canton round about this time...any help greatly appreciated. Jim

Hi Dave...many thanks for that...Joseph Ramsdale went on to become Mayor of Cardiff in 1897 and represented Wales at Gladstone's funeral the following year.
PS any idea where Wyndham terrace was? It doesn't exist any more! Jim

Perhaps not widely known is the fact that Joseph Ramsdale had a parallel family  with his maid.

I am a direct descendant of JR. My mother did some genealogical digging a few years ago.
