Hi there fozzy

Found the following for you

1841 Census for Ore
HO107/ 1055/ Folio 1 – 21, Westfield Road, Ore, Hastings
BANNISTER  Samuel, 45, Rat Catcher
                        Ann, 50
                        William, 15, Ag Lab
                         Henry, 14,
All born in the county.
(Do you have the 1851 census for your Bannister Family)

There are 5 separate entries for Bishop in the 1841 census, but non with the forename of Henry – sorry
(Do you have the 1851 census entry for them)

HO107 1639/ Folio 282/ Page 66 – Upper Cackle Street, Salehurst
HAZLEMAN William, Head, Marr, 39, Ag Lab, born Robertsbridge
Mary, Wife, Marr, 40, born Salehurst
Harrriett, Dau, Unm, 14, born Robertsbridge
John, Son, Unm, 8, Scholar, Salehurst

George, Son, Unm, 6, Scholar, Salehurst
                        Fanny, Dau, Unm, 4, Salehurst

Do you have details from any other census for the above

Hi Chris
Many thanks for the look up's and for your time.

I do not have the 1951 census for any of the families

Also don't think these Bannisters are the ones I'm looking for and the only info I have found was on the 1881 census 1341243/RG11/FOLIO 1027/113 3 Spring Ter Hastings
William Bannister 58 m Mary 49
William Bannister 23 son
Sarah Bannister 19 Dau
Ellen Bannister 14 Dau
Albert Bannister 10 Son
Annie Bannister 19 Serv
James Catt 61 Boarder
Frank Franks 22 Boarder (Later to become husband to Sarah Bannister)

Henry Bishop,Labourer, was the father of Bathsheba Bishop. found details on her birth cert. her mother also Bathsheba formerly Brand. Found Henry on the 1881 census living with his daughter and family at Bayleys Reeds, Salehurst Sussex.1341248/RG11 FOLIO 1046/60
Bathsheba m George Hazelman
Spelt Bathsheba on birth cert. and Bethsheba on census.
Was hoping to find George Hazleman b 1845 parents but the ages don't  match with the family you found for me.

Thanks again Chris

Hi Fozzie

Think we got the right family this time, but its the same family:
If William was 29 in 51, that makes him born about 1822/3

HO107/ 1635/ Folio 97/ Page 1873 - Ivy House Lane, Ore, Sussex

BANNISTER Samuel, Head, Marr, 57, Rat Catcher, Ore
Ann, Wife, Marr, 63, born Battle
William, Son, Unm, 29, born Ore
John, Grand son, Unm, 11, Scholar, born Ore
James, Grand Son, Unm, 13, Rat Catchers Boy, born Ore,

No Henry / Bethseda Bishop in Westfield in 1851
