With the latest interest in copyright that has been displayed I wonder if anyone has noticed the blatant contradictions and flouting that is actually going on un-noticed and even encouraged by rootschat.

Where, where? I hear you ask.
Over there on the left of your screen.

Forum users are encouraged to use a "coat of arms" or a photo. Many of these achievements are being used unlawfully and are in effect a breach of copyright.
Certain photos are also very possibly in breach of copyright.

If the copyright question is so great here why are such breaches tolerated?

The crests that are included within RootsChat to use as an image within RootsChat has the permission of the copyright owner.
