Horner in Thirsk 1901
« on: Sunday 27 November 05 02:06 GMT (UK) »
Hoping someone can find my cousin Isabelle Lofthouse in the 1901 census.

She was born in the village of Balk in North Yorkshire in 1855. In 1885 she married a bricklayer / shoemaker called Thomas Horner. He was born in Sessay near Thirsk in about 1819 so there was a big age gap between husband and wife. Their son Tom was born about 1886
Researching Moon, Jeffrey, Umpleby, Mortimer, Lowcock, Lynch, Naylor, Cobb, Emmott, Lofthouse, Limbert, Brooks, Gilbank, Wilkinson, Watkinson, Hebden, Hey and Clemie in Yorkshire
and
Myatt and Lawrence in Staffordshire and Warwickshire

Dear Kooly

Many thanks for that. Didn't know there was another child...............

Isabelle's sister married a Parvin so the lodger might be a relative.

Cheers
Mary
