Cardiff Cemeteries/Churchyards
« on: Thursday 01 December 05 17:45 GMT (UK) »
Hi all

I'm trying to locate where my Gt gran and granddad are buried. They lived in Turner Rd, Cardiff. I've looked on an OS map and the rd is in a triangle made up of LLandaff at the top, Victoria Pk bottom left, Riverside bottom right and with Canton just off the base line in the centre. I counted twelve churches in the are. Would any local have any idea which would be the most likely. I'm hoping to visit the area and the Glamorgan records office in the new year and would like to find their graves.

Hi Mick

I think kali has the right idea.  Get as much info before you go as you can.  Google for the Library in Frederick Street who have a Local Studies Department.  Google for family history societies, and anyone else you come across who you think might be able to help.

Phone before to see what help they can offer - you'll find them very helpful - I know you'll enjoy your visit - after all it is "The Land of Your Fathers" have a great time, and give my love to the Land of My Fathers too  ;D
