 hello all,
              this is a bit of a new hobby for me so any help would be appreciated.
               i'm looking for any info on a john jones born in talgarth in around 1885 later opening a butchers shop in pontlotyn.
               john married florence reed born in pontlotyn in 1885 who was a teacher.

Do you have any further information on John JONES to help narrow down the search?

There are a couple of possibilities in 1901 for John and none are butchers, so it would help to know his parents names or siblings to narrow down the search.

1901 is the most recent census available to us at the moment.

    thanks a lot this has been a big help

    all i can add about john jones is that he was one of about twelve kids and lived on a farm in the talgarth area.

     i'm off to see an elderly relative tonight so hopefully i might have something to add later.

hi arranroots(if you are out there),

       john jones of talgarth was 21 at the time of 1901 census,was the youngest of thirteen children and lived on afarm in the talgarth area he was also a butcher by trade.
