KNOLL,     Carl  1840(c)  of Brissow  Died 25/3/1916 Bris Qld

KNOLL,    August Friedrick (son of Carl)  1866(c) died19/9/1962  age 96 yrs  Brisbane Qld Australia

DALL,      Frederica Dorothea Louise 1840(c) of Brissow and
died  14/5/1907   (mother of August Friedrick KNOLL).

KNOLL,     Annie Mary Augusta 1868(c) of Brissow

Married     2/4/1890 in Spring Hill  (Bris)  Qld  To

BRANDENBERG   Joh? (nick named Jack) 1868 Cabbage Tree Creek (Bris)  Qld

Parents of J. Brandenberg

Gottfried Friederick W Brandenberg    and
Christine Hanna  BOTTCHER  (Sorry no dates)or places.

J. Brandenberg is my grandmothers cousin.  Annie Augusta Knoll toooo.  Even I am getting confused.

PS to Berlin-Bob have been busy checking out the german site  but no ages seem to match with dates.  Many thanks.

Am assuming you have probably already now found and viewed the Naturalization record for August F C KNOLL at NAA, in which he writes he is from " Brossow, County Prenzlaw, Germany" (with umlaut over the first o in Brossow)

But just in case not; or for reference if so  :
I think this is: Brüssow - a small town  in the Uckermark District of Brandenburg Land/Province; and Uckermark itself comes under the Administitative Center of Prenzlau.
The precise borders etc may have changed since August's day.

Dear Gloss,
So sorry to be so long in replying.  Please forgive me.  Have been off the net changing internet providers, then my computer seems to be still adjusting or something.  Keep losing things and then they are back.  Would have nothing to do with the user of course!!!!.  lol.

I have since  put my name down on Aus/German message board and had a really good reply from  "Cousin Margaret", I replied without saving it, now that's disappeared!!!.  Have just reset my computer to an earlier time, so hopefully it might have come back?  My computer illiterate skills are driving me nuts.  Also someone out there on Roots chat, that I did not get a chance to reply to also has disappeared. 

OK guys feel free to have a laugh.  But you must give me an A for persisting.  I'm still smiling through the pain.  Cheers Dale.  Think I should change my username to "Late Bloomer"  Bye.

Hi Ambly,

How are you.  Thanks for your reply.  No I have not found the Naturalization Records yet.  Might also find the rest of the German names too.  Wow that would be a Bonus.  Still got my "Training Bra on" regards this searching lark.   Apparently there were about 4-6 families all came to Oz.  Family heresay is they are all related.  At the moment I only have surnames of 5 of these families, so the Naturalization Records should be a great help.

Will dash away and see what I can find.  Thanks again everybody.

Your Computer sounds like a bit of a beast 

If you've lost a "Rootschatter" you can find all your posts, and the replies to them by:
clicking on your own Rootschat name up the top left, then you will see at  the bottom of the page that comes up, a link that says:
"Show last posts of this Rootschatter".

Click on that link, and every post you have made will be indexed there, and when you click into the subject of each one, it will open that thread up where you can see all you have posted for that message and all replies received for it. Once you have done reading the thread, use your BACK button on the BROWSER window to return to the index to read the next one.
