Hello

Another member called Heddwch was looking for someone called John Gower Jones b. 21 Jan 1864 who was awarded a BA in Oxford on 13 Oct 1888.
 Could be a relative?

Hello

Do you mean John Gower born 1831 Pembrey who eventually became vicar of Trefriw, Denbighshire? I have found a couple of interesting newspaper articles on him, including one in which he was taken to court for digging up the graves of his father and brother from Jerusalem Chapel, Pembrey.

17 June 1865, Cambria Daily Leader

(He was a vicar in Glamorgan at the time)

They are reburied at family grave in St. John’s, (Capel Ifan), Pontyberem.

If the same person and are interested in following up the please PM me with your email address and I can send you more information.

My grandma is a Gower-jones. Her dad was Geoffrey Gower-jones his dad was called William Gower-Jones and he was the son of Thomas jones and Elizabeth Gower.
