Renhold 1841 Please
« on: Thursday 08 December 05 11:16 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

Just for a change I'm looking for a family in Renhold in 1841:

The NBI gives me

Reuben HARPUR:2 Mar 1850 Age 59 Renhold All Saints
Fanny HARPUR: 11 Mar 1851 Age 66 Renhold All Saints

Reuben had several children christened in Renhold and these are the remnants of them in 1851:

1851

HO 107/1752 Page 24 Schedule 94 Renhold

William Harper H M 32 Labourer Renhold
Ann W M 30 Lace Maker Goldington
Thomas S 3 Renhold
Susan D 1 Renhold
George Brother 20 Lab Renhold
Phillip Brother 19 Lab Renhold

and page 16:

John Harpur H M 26 Ag Lab Renhold
Mary W M 26 Lace Maker Willington

Just to confirm they are the children of Reuben I would like to see at least some of them living as a family in 1841. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers Rob

Hi Rob

I've couple of minutes to spare before I shoot off for my French lesson. Fortunately they were on the second page

HO107/001-11 folio 4B page 3
Saft End Renhold
Reuben Harper 45 ag lab
Frances Harper 50
William Harper 20
George Harper 11
Philip Harper 8
All born in county

2 houses earlier
Sarah Harper 20 born in county
in household of John Weighting 50

I couldn't see John, which as you know is not the same as saying he wasn't there! Fortunately Robert Brown was still there though, following his miraculous appearance after he wasn't there the first 4 times I looked.

Best regards

David

Hi David,

Thanks once more for your invaluable help,  just the confirmation I needed.

I'm glad Robert Brown is still there, or perhaps I might not be! Now there's a thought.

Cheers Rob
