Edmonds - Marriage Hereford 1893

Eleanor Fanny Edmonds married ? in March Quarter 1893. I suspect the groom was George Albert Gough. Volume 6a Page 967.

I ordered the marriage certificate - but spelt the Edmonds as Edmunds.

I do not really need the cert. as she is not a direct relative, but one of my Great great Aunts.
The thing is, my mother is always saying there was a connection with a Gough family of Bristol and I would like to check if this is it! and if it is, a little more about George like father's name, place of birth, year of birth.

Can anyone help with any of these details before I try and order the certificate again?

It might help if you knew when and where Eleanor was born, it would make it easier to find her in the 1901 Census. This would give you a birth place and date for her husband. You should already know george's fathers name and occupation from the marriage cert

Eleanor Fanny Edmonds/Edmunds born 1872 Skenfrith, Monmouthshire.
The marriage certificate was not forthcoming as it was not found with the GRO reference from FreeBMD. I'm not sure if this was because I spelt it Edmunds instead of Edmonds (or vice versa) I'm not sure how accurate they would need and if they check the spelling. I only asked for Eleanor as she could have possibly married the other fellow (George Lewis) on the page and I'm on a wild goose chase.

George Albert Gough was born in Hereford.

So a look up for Eleanor Gough (or Lewis!) 1901 would be useful.
