Betchwood/Holmwood area

[Sussex Maid]

I am trying desperately to find out anything about my gg grandparents William and Sarah Rickson. They lived in Betchworth and as far as I can find out had 3 children. James born 1813, George 1815 and Jane 1826. I would love to know when they married and what Sarahs maiden name was, plus if there were any other children. William was born c1778 and Sarah 1780.
I know they are both bured at Holmwood.
Please if anyone can help I would be very grateful as I feel like I am banging my head against a brick wall with this one.

Not sure if you still visit this forum but if you do would like to explore your post further as we may have a mutual interest.

Briefly my gg grandfather is George William Ezekiel Rickson born 30-7-1847 at Sutton/Surrey.  In endeavouring to start exploring his antecedents I discovered George Rickson born 1815 at Bletchworth/Surrey who may have been his father and then William (subject of your post) who may have been his grandfather.

You may be able to confirm if I am on the right track and if so then I guess we are related in some way.

I must say at this early stage of my research my head is hurting already.  I thought it would be relatively easy to track down the Rickson side of my family as this is a very uncommon name here in Australia but then I discovered that they are almost like rabbits in the UK so now I have a challenge on my hands.

Anyway hope you are still around to help.
