Hi Mick

Thanks for finding the info for me really grateful.
Have you any idea how I could find out where my grandparents were buried in Nottingham.
They both died when my Dad was young don't even know when they died. Any advice would be appreciated.
regards
Cheryl

Hi Cheryl,

I had a look on the usual sites(Free BMD,Familysearch etc) trying to find a entry for the death of your Grandparents but unfortunately I had no luck :(

If you believe that they died in Nottingham, what I would suggest is that you contact the Nottingham Register Ofiice, here is a link to their website :)

http://www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/coun/department/city_secs/registers/cetificate.asp

I reckon that would be your best bet :)

Good luck with your search, regards,Mick ;)

Hi Mick

I tried looking on the usual sites as you did with no luck.
The problem is my Dad was brought up by his elder sister after his parents death, he couldn't even remember his Mum at all and he could only just remember his Dad.
My Dad joined the Army at 16 and after WW2 never went back to Nottingham he met and married my mum and lived in Cheshire till he died last year. He did keep in touch with his elder sister who bought him up for a while, but she died some years ago. I know his sister had 6 daughters and they probably still live in Nottingham somewhere but I've no idea what their married names are. So its like looking for a needle in a Haystack really.
Anyway thanks for your help. I give it a try .
Regards
Cheryl
