Hi Jackie,

Yes - it's not bad but since I've been doing Genee I've often wished I had a traditional family name lol!

Do you have any more info on William Box ie who he married.  I've been doing a search on FREEbmd and the Mormons LDS site.  It may help for tomorrow.

Thanks.

Hi Jackie,

I'm really sorry - I went into town and the library has reopened after a fire - great!  Unfortunately they do not hold Parish Records in FRome they are held in Taunton.  I don't know how far that is and I'm not planning to go in the near future - really sorry.

Regards,

Jackie

Hi Again Jackie,

I've been doing a computer search for William's birth / parents with no joy.

I did find his marriage on 27th Dec 1840 @ St Thomas' Dudley to Hannah Smith but you probably have this info - it's his parents you want right?

Regards,

Jackie ::)

Hello Jackie

Not to worry, and yes I do have details of his marr. I know that his father is John Box a coal miner.Asking for the look-up
was rather a long shot.
 I found a marr.on I.G.I John B.TO Emma Lacey 1813 at
Midsomer Norton,Wlm's 1st daug.was named Emma
1841 cens.Dudley Wlm born out of county,in later cens,he
varies his birthplace between Dudley- Bristol Somerset and
Radstock.
John - Emma were in Midsomer 1841.also found a David
Box born Midsomer(can't remember which cens.offhand)
wlm also had a son David.(not a very common name back
then) clues?or just me trying to make it all fit.

Jackie thanks again for taking an interest in my
query.
