Royal Navy Mention in Despatches 1887/8

Can anyone help please?  Ancester got Mention after Yanhi wars in Gold Coast.  Where can I get details?

Sorry I can't - I know he was involved in dragging a Maxim gun from the coast (he was then serving on the steamer Countess of Derby to where the insurrection was in 1887 but that's all I know.

Thanks - interesting, but a bit late for me.  The Countess seems to have stayed around for several years though.
