From 11 Feb 1839-19 Feb 1841, Master of "Victoria"
From 11 Jun 1851-22 Aug 1851, Master of "Margaret"
From 10 May 1852... Master of "Dorothy", wrecked on Herd Sand, North Shields on 12/13th Nov 1852.
"Paragon" 254 tons, built Sunderland by Cuthbert Potts. Owned from 1838 by UnionShipping Co of Stockton. Then registered on the Tyne 1852-1862
On 1 Mar 1853 sold for £1410 to Robert Burdon, a Master Mariner of South Shields.
On 7 Feb 1859 sold to Robert Stoker(see below) of South Shields.
"Regalia" built 1863 at Southwick, Sunderland.
Owners from 21 Jan 1863 were Robert Stoker, John Morrison, Thomas Burdon and Robert Burdon, all owned 16/64 of the ship,ansd all from South Shields ( 64ths were the normal "shares" of Tyne ships)
These four sold on the ship on 10 May 1871.
Of course this Robert Burdon might not be yours !
