1841 census Bridlington - Gray
« on: Tuesday 20 December 05 22:20 GMT (UK) »
Looking for a Joyce Gray born c 1787 in Nafferton Yorkshire - husbands name may be John; in 1851 she is described as a widow.  Children William born c 1817 and Mary c 1826 may or may not be with her.

Thanks
Siouxzie

Hi Siouxzie

Think she is a widow already in 1841.

1841 census, Bridlington, Nun Gate
HO 107/1213/6 folio 10 pg 14

Joyce Gray; 64; Ind [independent means]
Mary do; 19
Hannah do; 1

All born in county.  Sorry no relationships to say where Hannah has come from!

Regards

Thanks Sandra,
How annoying, still no confirmaion of hubby's name.  But still a new mystery to solve, who was Hannah?!  Joyce's daughter Mary had two illegitimate children I knew of, maybe this is a third - she can't be Joyce's anyway!

Thanks again
