Catharine Courtney born abt 1786 Wepre, Flintshire

Looking for information regarding Catharine Courtney, I believe she was born in Wepre (it was spelt Weper on her 1851 census records), Flintshire, Wales.

She married Richard Crosby/Crosbie about 1809 in Chester and lived in Chester until her death in 1856.

I would love to know more about her life especially her youth in Wales. Unfortunately I do not know who her parents were or anything about the area where she was born.

Any advice appreciated

      i found this catharine birth on LDS

                  parents :  thomas & mary
                  08 APR 1792   Osmington, Dorset, England
                   FHL Film 1239220

    i don't know whether this may be her or not.

Apologies for the delay in replying however, I hadn't noticed your reply. A mixture of moving house and no internet connection until recently.

Thank you very much for your time. The first marriage is her but the 1851 census says that she was born in Wepre in Flintshire.

What was the occupation of Richard Crosby/Crosbie. Was he in shipping etc.

According to Genuki .Wepre came under the Parish of Northop Flintshire until 1844 when it formed part of the newly created Parish Connahs Quay.
Records for Northop are at Flintshire Record Office.
