Looking for information on a Thomas Park, he died prior to 1866. He had a son William John Park c.1845. He told a few porkie's! every 10yrs when the census was taken, so he possibly was born in Buncrand Donegal (as he states in 1881) or Dublin Ireland (as he states in 1901!). Wllm married his 1st wife Eliza Lavinia Lush to whom he had many children, Eliza died (in Bristol)when their last child together "Frederick Park " was born, William remained in Bristol England, and he married a woman "Elizabeth Taylor" from Yeovil Somerset England, and they had one daughter "Florence Mary Maud Park" c.1886 and a son (my G-grandad) "Richard Thomas "Dickie" Park" c.1888.

Interested to hear of other Park surnames in this Irish region.

Hello Jen,

A Genforum member posted a message on the buncrana.com thread of Genforum regarding her grandfather, Robert Scott Park, who came from Buncrana and may have had a brother called Johnstone. http://genforum.genealogy.com/park/messages/1660.html

The Rev. John Park was the minister at Stormont Presbyterian Church in Belfast for thirty nine years and until recently his successor was still there. I'm not certain where Rev. Park was born.

The 1910 Belfast and Ulster Towns Directory for Buncrana lists ... Park, R. S., grocer
