i am looking for the birth of jessie lennox/matthews somewhere around 1851 according to census records in ayr

not sure if name is double barreled

Hi Kim

Have a look on the IGI at www.familysearch.org  There is an entry for Jessie. Lennox would appear to be her middle name and the family surname at the time was Mathies. Jessie's birth was on 5 Nov 1849 in Ayr, Ayrshire. Parents were Henry Mathies and Helen Craig. Other siblings showing for Jessie were: Henry 11 Jan 1841, Thomas 1 Nov 1842, Mary 6 Dec 1844, all in Ayr. The IGI also shows christening dates for the children.
