Canns in Bradworthy
« on: Friday 30 December 05 22:09 GMT (UK) »
:D My great great great grandfather John Cann born c. 1773 in Bradworthy (married to Elizabeth ?).  I am trying to find the maiden name of Elizabeth and also to find out who his children were, apart from my great great grandfather Joseph Cann b. c. 1824 and John Cann junior born c. 1815. Any help would be greatly appreciated please.  Thank you. ;)

Dear Sybella,

did any of your Cann family move to Fremington do you know?

I have a Prudence Cann, daughter of John and Barbara, who married a John Cawsey.
I have no idea where my Canns came from before baptising Prudence in Fremington in 1802.

Best Wishes

Hi Debbi
Thanks for replying.  My g.g.g.grandparents never moved from Bradworthy.  My g.g.g.grandfather John Cann lived to be 102 and he died in Bradworthy.  It could be that other members of the family moved.  My g.g.grandfather Joseph Cann moved to Northam.  As yet, I have not found out very much about the family.  Is Fremington near Bradworthy?

Regards
Susan
