1851 census look-up Ibbs
« on: Thursday 05 January 06 21:02 GMT (UK) »
Can anyone help me I am trying to find information age etc on Enoch Ibbs? He and wife Mary were married at St Peters church Stoke on the 19th December 1850 both of full age?, the residence at the time of marriage both in Stoke-on-Trent. (Large size city)  Enoch’s father is named John Ibbs and her father is named Samuel Brough.
Any help appreciated

Here is the 1851 census

Enoch Ibbs, head, age 22, potter (then after it is says taken off!) born Longton
Mary Ibbs, wife, age 21 born Longton
William Ibbs, age 1 week born Longton
Thomas Brough, father in law, widower, age 80, potter handle maker born Longton
John Barker, lodger, married, age 63, labourer born Longton

White Row
Longton

HO 107 2007
folio 223 page 38

the father in laws name is definitely Thomas.

Hope this helps

Thanks Nicky, for your help, On the marriage certificate it does say the father in law's name is Samuel. He must have had two Christian names.
