Does anyone know where I can find details of a clergyman for Church of England.
1901 census has my relo as Rev. Robert Simpson. He was born in Kildwick, Yorkshire.
Any information would be appreciated.  ;D

Thanks little nell,
Thats a huge amount of detail, certainly alot more than I expected.
This makes a big difference to the family history now.

By the way, I had seen your name in a post regarding why you chose the name you did.  I noted that you had two sons 6 feet tall. Guess what, so do I.

From one little person to another
many thanks

hi again Nell,

an after thought.
Don't suppose there is anything in that list for a Richard Simpson.  Family lore has it that Robert had a brother Richard who was a missionary and died in korea (before the war)
anything would be appreciated.  ;D

 :(

Sorry, Margaret, not in that particular edition, which is all I have access to here at home.

Nell

Tall sons  - they have their uses, don't they - reaching the top of cupboards or changing light bulbs in the ceiling fittings!  ;D

thanks David,
sometimes you just have to look into some of the family lore and see where it takes you.  There is a possibility that  a Richard Sidebottom (sidebothom), Roberts nephew, may have been the one the relo was talking about.  His father was listed as an independant minister.  Anything in your little book about him?
Thankyou for the details on Robert, from all the details I have been given on rootschat I have developed an amazing profile on the gentleman.
regards Margaret

Hi Margaret,

There are 5 Sidebotham/Sidebottam entries - but none for a Richard, or any that seem likely.

David...
