Power family of Galway

        I am looking for any information on Kieran Power born around 1820, he married Elizabeth McDermott,her date of birth is around 1850. Their date of marriage and place of marriage would be great.

What denomination were your McDermott and Power ancestors?

You'll probably have to try the Church register route for some information about his family as there were no Civil records in Ireland until 1845 when Civil Registration of non Catholic marriages was introduced. It was another seventeen years before all BMDs in Ireland had to be registered by law.
