Hi.

Does anyone have any infomation re: Myall family. All I have so far has been taken from the 1851 census.

Edward Myall born Beccles 1823
Elizabeth Myall Born 1828 Homersfield
Emily Myall Born 1847 Shipmedow (this is my line)
Henry Myall born 1846 bungay
Mary Ann Myall Born 1850 Beccles

I have been ages searching for the above name and would appricate it if anyone could give me any more info.

Hi Wendy

If often helps if you can be very specific when requesting information.  It helps others to know just what it is that you are really looking for.

For example; do you want information post or pre 1851?  Do you need census information, or information from parish records?  You say you have been researching for some time.  What other information do you have for the family?

There is a volunteer who offers lookups from the original Beccles registers at the Suffolk Surname List, this might be a good place to start with this family.

Ho107/1039/4  Ingate st, Beccles, Suffolk.

William Myall    55
Ann         ~      55
William    ~      25   tailor
Edward   ~      20   ag lab
Robert     ~      15   ag lab

All born in county.

Edward Mial s/o William (a labourer) and Ann Mial (late Mays)
born 5th April, baptised 11th April 1821 at Beccles

I looked at Beccles, Homersfield and Shipmeadow for Edward's marriage to Elizabeth but could not find it.  Did find this (not a huge help I know, but you might want the extra info), it looks like the marriage of Edward's brother, as fathers name is the same and Edward and Elizabeth are witnesses:

William Mial (tailor) m. Sarah Ann Moore
23rd December 1849 at Beccles
Fathers: William Mial (labourer) and William Thompson (watchmaker)
Witnesses: Edward Mial and Elizabeth Mial

I also looked at Shipmeadow for Emily's possible baptism but no luck there either I'm afraid.
