Winnifred SWEENEY b C1827 and Roger BLACK b C1825 came from Ireland to England, married at Liverpool 1846.
They were in Manchester in 1851 and 1861census and Roger died 1867
Winnifred is still in Manchester in 1871 and we cannot find the family at all in 1881.
In 1891 she is missing also son Rodger b 1855 - would she have gone back to Ireland ? How would we find out ?

Hiya Alex and Jan,

The 1901 Irish Census might show Winnifred and her son Roger. I think you need to find at least the county where she was born although the parish and townland would make a world of difference if you can find that information.

Christopher.
