Maps of Caio, Llansawel, Talley and Crygybar
« on: Sunday 15 January 06 12:55 GMT (UK) »
Does any one have nineteenth century or older,  maps, estate maps, of this area?  I have the 1885 OS maps, tythe maps and the Old Maps on line

Nigel Williams
Interested in Tŷ Mawr, Cellan and Davies family.  I'm related to Joseph Davies and Rachel Davies both buried in the church yard.  Joseph died c 1833 and Rachel in the 1780s

Hello, did you have any success map hunting? I'm particularly interested in Llansawel in the 19th century.

Hi d.g.,
I'm very interested in the M.I. index for Llansawel you mention in your April post; might I beg you to be so kind as to suggest how I might be able to access it?
                  Regards,
                                   Pinot

...There is also a monument inscription index for the Llansawel church listing two Jonathons:

Where did you obtain the MI index please?

Kind Regards
Morgan

There is also a monument inscription index for the Llansawel church listing two Jonathons:
Jonathon        Joseph          1845
Jonathon        Timothy         1843
You can check it yourself at http://classic-web.archive.org/web/20061001224908/www.dyfedfhs.org.uk/register/cmnilswl.htm

This is what I received from somone who was kind enough to post the info. on Rootschat. I can't open the web archive myself.

Warm thanks to Morgan for the intervention and to d.g. for the link; I have successfully downloaded and printed the archive.
                         Pinot  :)
P.S. If you are in need, d.g., could post you a print.

Thanks Pinot. Sometime I'll go to Llansawel and see the inscriptions for myself.

Thank you Pinot  :)

I had actually found the Llansawel link and included it in Carmarthenshire Resouces topic back in February!
